On 6 July 2022, an Under Vehicle- IED planted by an unknown group detonated, targeting a civilian vehicle at the at Suuq Boocle market in Mogadishu - Dharkenley (Banadir). One civilian was killed. The victim had served 18 years in an Italian jail for killing two Italian journalists in Mogadishu in 1994.
