On 5 July 2022, in Pa Khat village (Dawei township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), unidentified local defense forces carried out mine attacks against Myanmar military soldiers who were traveling from Pa Kar Ri to the eastern part of the township at around 6:50 am. Two military soldiers were killed.
