On 5 July 2022, Nigerian Air Force fighter jets carried out an air strike targeted at a Katsina militia at Zakka (Safana, Katsina) and Ummadau [coded separately]. Scores of the militia were killed, as claimed by the Nigerian Air Force. Scores of fatalities split across two events coded as 10.
