On 4 July 2022, between Nat Yae Kan and Gway Pin Taw villages (coded as Nat Yae Kan) (Chaung-U township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of Chaung U LDF, Myaung PDF TGR, Farmers Revolution Force CHU and Monywa Lightning PDF carried out mine attacks against a military column of 15 soldiers. The NUG reported that five military soldiers were injured. According to the Kachin News Group, the Chaung U LPDF reported that five military soldiers were killed.
