On 3 July 2022, in Tamwe township (Yangon-East district, Yangon region), two bomb explosions occurred at the ward administration office on Dhamma Seint Tar street in Kyar Kwet Thit ward at around 2 pm. The DVB reported that a follower of the ward administrator was killed and a woman was injured. The Myanmar Labour News reported that two people inside the office were injured. Fatalities coded as 1. Wimoutti Freedom Rebel Group claimed responsibility for the act.
