On 3 July 2022, in Bilin township (Thaton township, Mon state), the combined forces of the KNLA and the NUG PDF attacked a convoy of ten military vehicles heading towards Kyaukkyi (Bago-East region) with mines. A military vehicle was damaged. Nine military soldiers including a lieutenant colonel were killed.
