On 2 July 2022, an explosive device of unidentified origin exploded in a military vehicle of the Islah-affiliated commander in the Transport Brigade -- Amjad Khalid -- by the Khalifah Hospital in At Turbah (Al Misrakh, Taizz). Amjad Khalid survived but 1 IRG soldier was killed and 3 others injured. One source speculated that the STC was behind the assassination attempt. The STC had accused Amjad Khalid of being behind a number of assassination attempts targeting southern military and security leaders in the south.
