On 2 July 2022, in Yinmarbin township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), Cho Maing Maing Yinmarbin-Kani Joint Forces and Yinmarbin Local People's Defence Force attacked military forces, who set fire to houses, with mines near 5 Mile toll gate on the Monywa-Yar Gyi-Kalewa road at around 12 noon. There was an unspecified number of casualties on the military side.
