On 2 July 2022, in Taung Ni village (Myawaddy township, Myawaddy district, Kayin state), a Yak-130 fighter jet from the Myanmar military's Air Force based in Hmawbi township bombed the village on the Tha Bawt Boe - Sone Se Myaing road in the KNU Brigade 6 controlled area at around 1:14 pm. Due to the airstrikes, one woman and two men were injured.
