In the morning of July 8, 2022, Russian troops struck the production infrastructure of Mykolaiv with the Smerch multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). The relevant statement was made by the South Operational Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. The enemy used over a dozen of cluster and high-explosive shells. According to the preliminary data, there are no casualties among civilians. The damage caused is yet to be checked. In addition, at about 10:00 a.m., Russia’s Su-30 fighter aircraft fired a Kh-31 cruise missile at Odesa Region from the Black Sea. The missile exploded over the sea. No casualties have been reported so far. According to the South Operational Command, Russia’s naval group in the Black Sea is remaining unchanged. Four enemy missile ships, two submarines and three large landing crafts continue to blockade civil shipping and ready to launch 40 cruise missiles at the territory of Ukraine. Meanwhile, on the night of July 8, 2022, Ukraine’s rocket and artillery units launched accurate and powerful strikes on two Russian command centers. The effects are yet to be reported.
