Shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday, the CR356 road between Savelborn and Ermsdorf was closed to traffic in both directions for several hours. A grenade from the Second World War was found on the road between Savelborn and Ermsdorf and the road was closed to traffic to allow the Army's demining service (SEDAL) to intervene. The police say it was a German artillery grenade. SEDAL detonated the device at around 10.40am, after a 450-metre security perimeter had been established.
