The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on June 19 arrested a "most wanted" Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist, identified as Muhammad Ilyas, during an operation near the Naurus Chowrangi in SITE Town of Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, reports Dawn. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from his possession. Muhammad Ilyas had been hiding in Saudi Arabia. "During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he, along with his accomplices, killed Sher Ahmed Khan in the SITE area in 2013", CTD statement said.
