On 28 May 2022, in Tibu (Norte de Santander), armed individuals threw an explosive at a police station. The blast injured an officer. Later that day, an armed group attacked a military and police unit conducting an operation near the attorney general's building, injuring two members of the security forces (coded separately). Authorities claimed that the attacks were perpetrated by a dissident faction of the FARC. There were no fatalities.
