A trooper of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) injured by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bomb planted by cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), during a joint search operation by the 210 Battalion of CoBRA and the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) in Tarrem area under Pegadapalli Panchayat (village level local self-Government institution) in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on June 3, reports livehindustan.com. The trooper, identified as Niranjan Kumar Paswan, was brought to Tarrem and given first aid and is being sent to Raipur for better treatment. This is the fourth incident in a month only in Bijapur, in which Maoists are targeting soldiers by planting IED bombs under their Tactical Counter Offensive Campaign (TCOC), Bijapur, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Pankaj Shukla, said.
