On 21 May 2022, Turkish army forces conducted shelling against PKK militants in Sehid Sahin and Sehid Tolhildan areas (Kurdish names) in Zap region (Al Amadiya district) of Duhok province. HPG (PKK) claimed that Turkish forces used explosives and bombs containing poisonous gas during the shelling but this was not confirmed by other sources. Casualties unknown.
