On 21 May 2022, the Nigerian Air Task Force of Operation Hadin Kai carried out an air raid on a convoy of Boko Haram/ ISWAP militants at Wara Wara village (Damboa, Borno). Scores of militants were killed, coded as 20, and four of their gun trucks were destroyed. A group of militants later evacuated the bodies for funeral.
