On 21 May 2022, National Intelligence Organization of Turkey carried out a drone strike targeting a vehicle carrying PKK militants and civilians near Du Taqal (Tawkal) village in Akceler (Agjalare) subdistrict of Al Sulaymaniyah province. 3 PKK militants and 2 civilians inside the vehicle were killed.
