On 22 May 2022, near Kat Pa Leik village (Katha township, Katha district, Sagaing region), a local defense force attacked about 30 military soldiers advancing from Meik Tha Lin village with three H22 mines near the bridge at around 5 am. The KNG reported that at least 15 military soldiers were killed and many others were injured.
