On 22 May 2022, in Mudon town (Mudon township, Mawlamyine district, Mon state), a bomb explosion occurred at the Kaung Htet copy shop in front of the home of former USDP Member of Parliament on the Mudon-Thanbyuzayat road at around 2 pm. Due to the explosion, the front of the house was damaged and two people including the former USDP MP were seriously injured. The Mudon People's Defense Force claimed responsibility for the bombing.
