On 22 May 2022, in Chanayethazan township (Mandalay district, Mandalay region), a bomb explosion occurred inside the judicial staff housing near the district court on 65th street between 33rd and 34th streets in Pyi Gyi Myat Shin ward at around 9 am. On the same day, another explosion occurred at the Mandalay Zay Cho Taw market on 84th street in the afternoon. There were no casualties.
