On 8 May 2022, in Planeta Rica (Cordoba), unidentified armed individuals on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a military base located in the town. The blast injured a woman and a military soldier. The incidents took place amid a four-day curfew or 'paro armado' introduced by the Gulf Clan, prohibiting all vehicle traffic or the movement of civilians in areas where the armed group has a presence. Nevertheless, other armed groups operated in this area. There were no fatalities.
