On 17 May 2022, an unidentified suicide bomber detonated a bomb close to a primary school on Aba Road in Sabon Gari (Fagge, Kano). At least 9 were killed (unclear if suicide bomber was included in the total), an unspecified number were wounded while the government claims the incident was a gas explosion.
