On 18 May 2022, between Kyet Ta Kaung and Pay Kone villages (coded as Kyet Ta Kaung) (Tigyaing township, Katha district, Sagaing region), the Special.9 - HPDF and the PDFs (under the NUG) carried out three mine attacks against the military who were advancing along the riverbank of the Ayeyarwady River transporting 100 soldiers and supplies in three ships . About ten military soldiers were killed.
