On 19 May 2022, in an area between Astilleros La Ye and Tibu (coded to Astilleros La Ye, Norte de Santander), members of the FARC Dissident group 33rd Front detonated a vehicle with explosives. Military officers that were nearby became aware of the situation and activated security protocols. There were no casualties.
