On 19 May 2022, in Bhamo town (Bhamo township, Bhamo district, Kachin state), the Urban Revolutionary Force - Bhamo attacked the EPC Bhamo office with 2 bombs at noon. The reason for the attack was as a reminder to the EPC staff to stop cooperating with the military and the police and to stop forcing people to pay the electricity bill. There were no casualties.
