SAA event in Manipur, Mahabir Mandir, Khurai Ahongei Tilipati area, Imphal East District area, India on Fri 13th May 2022

One person, identified as Subham Prasad, sustained injures in an explosion that occurred near Mahabir Mandir located at Khurai Ahongei Tilipati area in Imphal East District of Manipur on May 13 evening, reports East Mojo. Imphal Police rushed to the spot soon after the incident and investigation into the case is underway. No individual or organisations has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.|Meanwhile, Assam Rifles (AR) arrested two cadres belonging to proscribed outfits – United Komrem Revolutionary Army (UKRA) and Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) - in two separate operations in Kangpokpi and Tengnoupal Districts of Manipur, reports East Mojo on May 14. As per official statement, Keithelmanbi and Moreh Battalion, under the aegis of headquarters of Inspector General of Assam Rifles-South (IGAR-S), in a joint operation the Manipur Police arrested one cadre of UKRA from Ichum Moriah village in Kangpokpi District on May 13, while one KYKL cadre from Moreh in Tengnoupal District on May 14. The arrested insurgents have been handed over to Nambol and Moreh Police station for further investigation, the statement added.
