Security Forces (SFs) destroyed two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted by the cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), averting a threat to the lives of Police Forces in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on May 12, reports Telangana Today. During a combing operation, a joint team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 165th Battalion and the District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel spotted the IEDs of five kilograms planted on a road leading to Bangoli at Phundri village near an under-construction bridge coming up over the Indravati River under Nelasnar Police Station limits to target the SFs. Later on, a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) destroyed the IEDs safely by blasting them in an abandoned area.
