On 1 May 2022, in Salin town of Salin township (Minbu district, Magway region), the People's Defense Force - Western Command, under the NUG, carried out an attack using mines against the Myanmar police forces patrolling with five motorbikes at around 10 pm as part of the operation 'Tite Tine Aung'. Six police forces died in the attack, according to the PDF.
