On 4 May 2022, in Win Ma Nar village (Kani township, Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military based in the Win Ma Nar police station planted two mines and set fire to the police station as well as 3 houses and their vehicles before they abandoned the station at around 9 am. The two planted mines exploded and injured two civilians who attempted to put out the fire at around 11 am.
