Two policemen were killed Saturday by an explosive device in northern Burkina Faso, the national police announced Sunday in a statement. According to the same source, a team from the Groupement des compagnies républicaines de sécurité de Ouagadougou (GCRS-Ouaga) was the victim of the explosion. While on their way to the Taparko mining site for a relief operation, one of the vehicles in their convoy jumped on an explosive device near the village of Ouanobian, in the Centre-North region, the statement said.
