On 19 April 2022, one Turkish soldier was killed in a rocket attack carried out by PKK militants in Zap region (Al Amadiya district) of Duhok. HPG (PKK) also claimed they carried out an attack with heavy guns (presumably referring to rocket or artillery weapons) targeting Turkish forces in Zap region on the same day, which is likely to be the same event.
