On 13 May 2022, DPR forces, supported by Russian forces, fired BM-21 Grad missiles and self-propelled artillery at Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka, Donetsk. The chemical coal plant was damaged after continued shelling. One worker was wounded, one person died throughout the day.
