On 6 November 2021, an IED detonated, targeting government security forces (SNA) at a checkpoint at the cinema of Wahar Adde vicinity neighbourhood in Mogadishu - Heliwa (Banadir). There were no fatalities. At least four soldiers including the commander of the checkpoint were injured. Al Shabaab and Islamic State both claimed responsibility for the attack, but given the location, it was more likely perpetrated by AS militants.
