On 7 November 2021, in the rural area of Valdivia (Antioquia), unidentified individuals set off an explosive device on the freeway near the El Nevado area. The blast killed one woman and injured five more people who were driving in the area. The region is known for the presence of ELN, FARC dissidents, and Gulf Clan members. Further reports claimed the attack was perpetrated by Gulf Clan members. 1 fatality.
