IED event in Bihar, Pachrukhia Hill area under ​​Madanpur Block in Aurangabad District area, India on Wed 5th January 2022

One cadre of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) was killed in an encounter took place between the Police and Maoists in the Pachrukhia Hill area under ​​Madanpur Block in Aurangabad District of Bihar on January 5, reports prabhatkhabar.com. Aurangabad Superintendent of Police (SP), Kantesh Kumar Mishra said that on January 5 evening, the Commando Battalion for resolute Action (CoBRA) personnel were conducting a search operation, and during this, on seeing them, the Maoists started firing, to which the soldiers also took the front and started retaliation. However, Police personnel are safe in the incident. Meanwhile, the Maoists also triggered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast, as has been confirmed by the SP himself. The identity of the slain Maoist is yet to be ascertained.
