A member of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) was shot dead by gunmen on January 3 while visiting his father-in-law's house at Lama in Bandarban District, reports Daily Bangladesh. The deceased was identified as Monkyaching Marma (35). Angow Marma, a resident of Anghla Para, President of Lama Upazila PCJSS, said, “I came to know about the incident at 2 pm. The farm house is 500 yards east of our neighbourhood. Monkyching Marma is my niece's husband. The incident is believed to have taken place in a conflict of regional politics.”
