On 6 January 2022, in North Okkalapa township (Yangon-East district, Yangon region), three M79 40mm grenades were fired at a military barrack in Shwe Pauk Kan area at around 5am. The YFA later claimed responsibility for the incident, which was carried out in collaboration with CGF-YGN. YFA also stated that at least 10 military troops were injured in the attack. Casualties unknown.
