On 6 January 2022, in Kin Mun Chaung village (Kyaikto township, Thaton district, Mon state), a bomb exploded in front of a high school in the village. DVB reported that three people, including a student, were injured from the blast while Eleven Media reported that three people, including a parent and two police officers were injured.
