On 7 January 2022, in Chanayethazan township (Mandalay district, Mandalay region) unidentified armed men carried out hand-grenade attack on Military owned Myawaddy Bank located between 81/26 street and 27 street at around 9 am. The attack injured two Bank staff and a customer.
