On 22 June 2019, in Sittwe Township, in Rakhine State, a navy tugboat of the Myanmar military was anchored at the mouth of Set Yoe Kya creek when the Arakan Army attacked it with rockets. Two soldiers of Myanmar military were killed and one was injured during this attack. In connection with the attack, the Myanmar military detained three young suspects, two of whom were sheltering in a monastery in Sittwe. They were all released on 5th July.
