On May 26, a pressure cooker bomb, planted by the cadres of Netra Bikram Chand led Communist Party of Nepal, exploded prematurely in a barber's shop at Sukedhara locality of Kathmandu city (Kathmandu district, Bagmati), injuring one civilian, and several party members. Three cadres of the party died during the accidental set off of the bomb. One of the injured cadre was identified as the member of Newa Mukti Morcha, one of the sister wings of the Chand-led party.
