On 14 December 2021, between Kyaw Zay Yar and Chaing Gyi villages (Sagaing township, Sagaing district, Sagaing), the PAFD: People's Army to Fight Dictatorship claimed that it attacked three military vehicles on the Shwebo-Mandalay road with eight mines, killing about 20 military troops and injuring many more.
