On 6 June anarchists claimed responsibility. According to some reports it was a group called Moles demonstrating against the construction of the metro, which they claim will push out poorer families from the city centre and increase living costs for all residents, and according to other reports it was the group Female Anarchists/Male Anarchists supporting Koufodinas.
