On 17 December 2021, in Kone Thar village (Ye-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the military troops stationed at the school of Kone Thar village fired artillery shells at Chan Thar village. People around Chan Thar, Kone Thar and Naw Kone villages were forced to flee. Casualties unknown.
