Unidentified assailants killed a Police official, identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Asghar, near a fruit and vegetable market in the limits of Mandan Police Station in Bannu town (Bannu District) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 1, reports Dawn. ASI Asghar had gone to the market for shopping when he was targeted near the Gate No-II of the market and escaped. ASI Asghar was posted as Muharrar (investigation officer) in the Police lines.
