A villager was killed in a landmine blast allegedly planted by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) at the Dundru Chapal Forest area under Serendag Police Station limits in Lohardaga District of Jharkhand on December 23, reports The Pioneer. The Police confirmed the landmine blast which was a typical pressure bomb planted by CPI-Maoist to target Security Forces (SFs). The deceased was identified as Supal Turi, a native of Hesang who had gone to the forest on December 22 to collect bamboo leaves for his cattle.
