Separately, one unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing gunfight between Security Forces (SFs) and militants in Rattan Pir area of Surankote sub-division in Poonch District on December 14 (today), reports Greater Kashmir. Police said the encounter broke out in Rattan Pir area after a Cordon and Search Operation was launched in the area spread over many villages of Surankote following a tip off about the presence of militants. As per Jammu based Army Public Relations Officer (PRO), Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, an unidentified militant has been killed in the encounter he said is going on. However, his body is yet to be retrieved from the site of the encounter.|
