The 44th battalion of the Indo-Tibet Border Police Force (ITBP) in a joint search operation recovered huge ammunition cache, stores, Naxal [Left Wing extremism, LWE] literature, materials, and other items belonging to the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), near Hidkotola village in Mohla Tehsil (revenue unit) in Rajnandgaon District of Chhattisgarh on December 16, reports republicworld.com. A search operation was carried out on December 16, Thursday was based on specific inputs, between Parvidih and Mispri near Hidkotola, Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh", the ITBP informed. The operation was planned on a tip-off on the presence of the rebels in the region. The forces spotted Maoist hideout and recovered the items. Such hideouts are often used by the Maoists during their annual Tactical Counter Offensive Campaign (TCOC), adds The New Indian Express.
