Three Policemen, one Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and two constables, were killed and 12 Policemen injured after militants attacked a Police bus carrying personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police in Zewan Pantha Chowk in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), in the evening of December 13, reports Greater Kashmir. The attack took place at Aripora Zewan at around 6 pm when the bus was returning with deployment from Srinagar. The killed Policemen were identified as ASI Ghulam Hassan a resident of Bathrand area of Ramban, Senior Grade Constable Shafique Ali of Mamankoti area of Reasi and Rameez Ahmad, son of Mohammad Amin of Yachama Ganderbal. Police said that the attack was carried out by three militants of “Kashmir Tigers”, an “offshoot” of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and a hunt to crackdown the militants is underway in the area.
