On 4 December 2021, in Chanmyathazi township (Mandalay district, Mandalay region), a bomb explosion occurred near the Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin railway between 58th and 59th Streets and 114th and 115th Streets, Kan Thar Yar ward. An unidentified man was hit by mines and found dead near the site of the bombing.
